parties galore.

Nancy is getting close to having this baby. She just went into the doctor 3 days ago and the doctor said, "I'll bet you have this baby in 10 days." Nancy and I are really excited about the whole thing. I really hope the baby comes sooner because we're excited to have another child. I think that Anne will finally understand the whole sister and mom's pregnant thing a lot better when there's a baby to show for it.

Anne's vocabulary has been growing a lot. She's beginning to speak in all types of sentences. She is especially becoming good at ordering Nancy and I around. She'll tell us to leave the room, tell us what items in the house is her's (including food, our bed and her toys). She's been a bit sick this week, which has been the regular things (no good sleep, no good mood, irregular naps). Although we're always really surprised how fast she plows through the sicknesses and moves on and she seems to handle them pretty well.

We've had a lot of fun at some of the different parties that we've had in the past week. We had a caramel apple party that was great. It involves loads of apples and topping like nuts, m and ms, chocolates of every kind, crushed cookies, cinnamon and sugar etc. That was great. We learned that you have to grease the pan that you put them on so that you don't have to eat wax paper! On friday night we had an indian fry bread night at our friend's place. It was a lot of fun. Lot's of good food, sodas galore (Dr. pepper thanks to Brant :) ), and chocolate cake. Anne got to serve Nancy and I a lot of fake cookies (although we got plenty to eat). Last party this week was yesterday night during the relief society broadcast, Spencer and I got to have our annual "man night". This involves celebrating during the women's broadcast kind of like the women usually go out shopping during priesthood session twice a year. The night is celebrated by watching a violent action movie. This year's choice was "Priest", a movie about an elite group of priests that kill vampires in a post-apocalyptic world. It was great to say the least.

Last of all, the pictures of me all dressed up is after I got an award in the department. I had a 50% chance of getting it, but I overcame the odds and we had a great time eating good food and sitting through a long awards meeting (Anne did surprisingly well).

  1. Sounds like the Jones' have been having a great month! Congrats Scott on your award. You and Brant are my parent/scholar idols. I can't wait to hear that Littest Miss Jones has made her debut. Good luck Nancy!
